Can I have more than 8 MIDI inputs?

I'm assessing Audiomulch as a possible replacment to Bidule.  Am I correct that I can only have 8 MIDI input devices?  That would be a deal breaker for me. If not, how would I activate more inputs?

You can merge MIDI sources with MIDI Patchbay (assuming you're on OS X):
