Probably i missed it but i cannot find how i can choose the output of any application as audio input in AM (on a mac)? I need it to use a streaming source like Spotify.
As far as I know OSX provides no such built-in feature for choosing the output of one App as the input of another. That is why JACK and Soundflower exist. Do you know any other Apps that let you choose another App as input?

I know just one: Wire Tap Studio, a program for recording the audio of other apps, allows me to pick one or two applications of my choice to record. Perhaps it has something like Jack or Soundflower built in and working in the background without the user needing to know about it?
FYI, a program called Audio Hijack Pro, from Rogue Amoeba, enables you to record to disk the audio from any selected OS X app, including the OS itself. It enables you to use your VST and AU plug-ins, too, to filter and apply effects to that audio.
Soundflower works fine for me. Ross himelf recommends JackOSX, but I haven't figured out how to use it for the job.
