Hi Everyone,
Currently the contraption presets window will auto-hide after some common operations such as storing or recalling a preset. This is intentional, to make it quick and easy to show the window, perform a single action, and have it go away again. To some degree this is also a throw-back to AudioMulch 1 where this window was more like a normal pop-up menu where selecting an item always closes the menu.
Some people find the auto-hide behaviour confusing and would like the window to stay open until it is manually closed by clicking the close box.
There are some new additions to the contraption preset window in AudioMulch 2.2 which will make it useful to leave it open while organising presets etc. In these cases the window doesn't auto-hide.
What do you think about the autohide behavior? Do you find it useful or confusing? Would you prefer an option to disable it? or should it just be removed.
Obvious resolutions are:
- Retain current behavior
- Add a "pin" button to stop it auto-hiding (like the new contraptions palette pin)
- Disable all auto-hiding
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Ross.
Either:
- Retain current behavior
or:
- Add a "pin" button to stop it auto-hiding (like the new contraptions palette pin)
but definitely don't remove auto-hiding completely, it's quite useful as it is now.
My vote: Add a "pin" button to stop it auto-hiding (like the new contraptions palette pin)
