Been noticing this for a while: all my new documents are completely empty, without the default SoundOut contraption.
I've tried complete uninstallation and reinstallation, but that didn't fix the issue.
Default.amh looks normal. AM on another computer running the same OSX (10.13.6) does not have this problem.
Has this been happening to anyone else? It's a minor issue but it's a bit annoying.
(Unrelated, but the AudioMulch Help had also stopped loading. Reinstallation did at least fix this. EDIT: Only temporarily! It's broken again and just shows up blank.)
Some troubleshooting. I tried launching AM from
/Applications/AudioMulch\ 2.2.5/AudioMulch.app/Contents/MacOS/AudioMulch
Terminal returned the following:
/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleFSCompression/AppleFSCompression-96.60.1/Common/ChunkCompression.cpp:49: Error: unsupported compressor 8
/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleFSCompression/AppleFSCompression-96.60.1/Libraries/CompressData/CompressData.c:353: Error: Unknown compression scheme encountered for file '/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources/Exceptions.plist'
/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleFSCompression/AppleFSCompression-96.60.1/Common/ChunkCompression.cpp:49: Error: unsupported compressor 8
/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleFSCompression/AppleFSCompression-96.60.1/Libraries/CompressData/CompressData.c:353: Error: Unknown compression scheme encountered for file '/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Library/AppExceptions.bundle/Exceptions.plist'
This time the SoundOut contraption showed up by default in the new document. I also neglected to mention that the example files weren't being displayed in the Welcome box (lauching with the above method, no problem)
Help is still not launching properly. I just see an empty page. Terminal again if I try launching from inside AM:
QMetaObject::invokeMethod: No such method AMMainWindow::amDisplayF1Help()
If I try launching AudioMulch Help from /Applications/AudioMulch\ 2.2.5/AudioMulch.app/Contents/MacOS/AudioMulch\ Help.app/Contents/MacOS/Assistant :
/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleFSCompression/AppleFSCompression-96.60.1/Common/ChunkCompression.cpp:49: Error: unsupported compressor 8

WIth this method the Qt Assistant guide opens up instead of AudioMulch Help.
Looks like it's a High Sierra-specific problem.
EDIT: Never mind all that. Getting the same Terminal output repeating the same steps on a computer where AM has none of these issues. Looks like my High Sierra might just be broken.
