Live problem

Ok, so I very recently started using audiomulch 2.1 for live performances. So I have Sound in as my mic and want to manipulate my vocals and stuff live.

However, for seemingly no reason there is a few seconds delay. It's as if I have an echo or delay effect on but it happens all the time even when I have no effects added. I can't understand it. I've spent time in settings trying to figure it out but no use.

Has anyone else encountered this and how do you get rid of it?

Thank you,

Zeppo

Seems like a driver thing. I'll assume you're on windows. Would be good to know what card you have but for now Press F4 to go to settings and make sure in the audio drivers section that you select Asio in driver type. Then try setting the latency down to 256ms. Anything below that is useless cuz Audiomulch only supports multiples of 256 if I remember good (maybe Ross can correct me on that).

If you don't see any asio but only windows multimedia and directsound. You're card has no Asio drivers installed. A solution is to install Asio 4 all which is free and then select it in the drivers type.

Depending on your computer speed, you can get good results in realtime.

If you decide to install Asio 4 All, I suggest you read the manual to get you familiar with setting up an audio card.

On the Mac I guess it's core audio that you have to select (if it doesn't do it automatically)

256 samples, not 256ms.

Definitely make sure you're using an ASIO driver on Windows as Pat suggests.
