Ok! The first 'controller' bug I've found in 2.0.1... it does not in any way, shape, or form want to recognise the Akai MPD24. Have tried all of the MIDI channels etc, and it still doesn't want to play ball.
For that matter, it doesn't seem to see my AK1 MIDI in, either.
Strange. Have gone back to 2.0.0 which works fine with the AK1 and MPD24.
Hi! Can you (and anyone else with this problem) please send me an email (rossb@audiomulch.com). I'd like to get you to test out a fix for this.
Thanks!
Ross, YHM.
Update: in 2.0.2 this is not fully resolved. The bug is that if the device reports multiple endpoints with the same name (MPD24 apparently lists its A and B endpoint as "Akai MPD24") then only the first device works.
Some users have had success using the first listed "Akai MPD24" device and then setting the MPD24 to send on channel A.
The other workaround (which definitely works) is to create an create an IAC application bus device connected to the MPD24 using Applications > Utilities > Audio Midi Setup. Then select the IAC device as a control source in AudioMulch.
This is probably going to occur with other Akai devices. Please report any others which have problems here.
