Maybe I'm missing something but a MIDI recorder would be a welcomed addition. Just a recorder to catch the action. The MIDI data could be used later to reconstruct things.
MIDI recorder - more details...
As AM does not provide a way to pass MIDI out it would be helpful to have a MIDI recorder contraption. Just a simple means to save MIDI data. Perhaps this isn't so simple or it would be more common.
This data could be used latter if another synth needed to be added to a track. How might this be accomplished without a MIDI recorder ?
More midi capabilities are always welcome, me rekons. So a +1 from me. Also to be able to route MIDI the way we patch audio contraptions would be amazing.
MIDI Contraptions!!!
Sometimes I wish for a whole piano roll editor...even though Ive gone on the record here in the past that it would be a bad idea, but using 'Mulch as heavily as I do lately it would be so very handy to not have to go outside the app to another program.
But im still on V1 and Ross will probably chime in here telling me its all possible and what the hell am I on about :) ?
Thanks Andy for the link to a MIDI recorder. This may well be what is needed. Still working on how to use it as like so many plugins it doesn't come with a manual. Looks good though.
Not sure why a simple MIDI recorder plugin is so hard to come by.
Finally getting the MIDI Looper plug in working. It will allow me to record MIDIwise the music project I'm working with for later use. Great. I wasn't able to locate a simple MIDI VST type MIDI recorder to use in AM. This should make things much more convenient and flexible Took awhile to get things running without a manual but its worth it .
The MIDI looper at http://www.audiomulch.com/content/found-it-midi-player-audiomulch
is recommended for those seeking a simple way to record MIDI as a loop or as a one shot.
