Everything worked fine, before. Now, when I start up AM2 I no longer get the option for TCNear Firewire interface for Sound In. The TCNear control panel works fine. And TC Near is available for Sound Out. Macbook Pro. TC Electronics Desktop Konnekt6 firewire.
I've tried rebooting, power cycling.
One related thing: AM2 never seemed to remember the audio driver input and output preferences. I've had to set them again every time I start it up.
Please help. I'm dead in the water if I can't get sound into the software!
TIA.
Richard
Hi Richard
Check that you have the right devices selected on the Audio Driver page of the settings before you go to the Audio Input page.
Does that fix it?
It's a bit of a usability problem, but you have to select the right device in the Audio Driver page for it to show up on the other pages. There are reasons why it works this way but I need to do something about it...

As for the preferences not being remembered, no guarantees, but you could try following the instructions here to delete the plist (and send it to me so I can check what's going on):

Thanks

Problem fixed. Yes, the TCNear was not selected in the Audio Driver. The real issue is not remembering the preferences. It had taken me a while to figure out the setup initially and then I forgot later. Since both I and the software lost our memories, we were SOL.
The link about the mac-start-preference-not-working isn't valid.
I do want to pursue this. So how to I dump the plist and send it to you?
Thanks,
Richard

Ah yes. Link shouldn't have had a dot on the end. Fixed now. But all I was going to suggest was deleting the plist and trying again. See if that works.
