I've been meaning to mention, and I don't know if it has been already- when I double click on a AM file in the Finder it sometimes opens with the Audio Mulch Help application! (or tries to)
It seems to be random when it does this too.
I'm on Mac and I've done the usual 'open with' repair but it does not fix this.
Mac 10.5 Intel AM2.03
This appears to be a problem with the way we're embedding the help viewer inside the app.
How often are you seeing this?
Thanks
Ross.
A lot!
In various circumstances such as when I double click a file on my desktop, when I use Spaces preferences (it refuses to add Audio Mulch and will only add Audio Mulch Helper) and other times.
With AM files here's what happens: the file has no AM logo, just the generic Mac icon. If I do 'Get info' I can change the 'Open With' to Audio Mulch' and the AM green icon appears on the file. Then two strange things:
1. If I double click the file back on the desktop it still opens with Audio Mulch Helper
2. If in Get Info I do the 'Change All' option (which normally fixes these problems) it proceeds and warns me of what I'm about to do, I do it, but immediately the drop down menu in Get Info reverts back to audio Mulch Helper.
Hope that helps.
Andy
I'm not sure what you mean by "AudioMulch Helper" do you mean "AudioMulch Assistant"?
From what you're saying the problem only happens when you trying to open AudioMulch documents by double clicking on them.
What about when you double-click on the AudioMulch app itself?
Ross.
I mean the application called Audio Mulch Help when I say Audio Mulch Helper in the previous post.
It happens not only when I double click a file as the example of Spaces preferences surely indicates?
If I double click the application itself, the Audio Mulch application opens not the Audio Mulch Help application.
Andy
I've the same problem AM documents don't shown the right icon on the contrary they have AM help icons so when I doubleclick a document only AMN HELP is opening
MAC OSX 10.6.2
Ok thank. It sounds like a Finder bug to me, but I'll see what can be done. -- Ross.
We've found the problem. It is an issue with AudioMulch and will be fixed in the next update (2.0.4).
Thanks for reporting this.
Ross.
There is now a new 2.0.4 beta version which should also resolve this issue with the help viewer being launched when loading AudioMulch documents. You may need to rebuild your application mappings for this to take effect.
Please try it and let us know if it resolves the issue -->
