Ross, do you have any comments with regard to Windows 7 and Audiomulch?

Apologies if this has been covered but I briefly looked around in the forums and in the FAQ. Maybe this info could be added to the FAQ?

Thanks!

Hi Tzilt

I don't have any comments on whether you should use Windows 7, but so far, the AudioMulch tests we've done on Windows 7 Beta have been problem free.

I would be interested to hear from anyone else whose running on Windows 7.

Hi Ross,

Thanks. I suspected that there wouldn't be any major issues, as Windows 7 is supposed to be (I think) a more streamlined version of Vista rather than a complete overhaul.

I just bought a new pc with Windows 7 installed. I will report back what I find.

Hey guys,

I'm new to audiomulch and have only been playing with the demo download on my windows 7 beta a few weeks, but have not had much problem. The only thing I've noticed (which may just be my computer, but) when I leave the program open and bring my computer back from sleep mode, the audio does not work until I close the program and reopen it. Not a huge issue but it something that I've noticed. Good luck.

The "no audio after resume from sleep" issue has been raised before, for Windows XP, so I don't think this is a Win7 issue. Usually its because if the particular sound card driver, but I've just noticed that Microsoft is recommending that apps close audio devices before the computer sleeps -- so I'll do that in a future version of AM, which should fix that issue.

AudioMuclh 2.1 now closes audio devices before sleep and reopens them at wake, so that issue should in theory be resolved, i'd love to hear back about people's experiences with that.
