Hello everyone.
I just purchased AudioMulch and ive got the loop player figured out pretty good. Ive got several loops in there and theyre all synched up nice. How do i create a sequence, like where a certain loop will start and/or stop so i can build complete songs. Im used to using Reaper, Korg Triton and an MPC . Is it possible to create songs like this? please help or call 229-412-1414. thank you so much

I really hope that's not your phone number, chap. Not the wisest thing posting it on a public forum. Anyway... regarding your question.

You can't create 'sequences' as per Cubase or Logic, but you can create some lovely arrangements using the automation window. You can automate the mute buttons on the loops players to bring them in and out, or automate a mixer that the loop players play in to.

You need to think outside the box a little with AudioMulch. Have a look at some of the example files, too - I learn a helluva lot from studying those.

How about the section of the help file called 'Automating AudioMulch'...

I was looking for the easy tutorial video way out. lol. Although i did take your advice and this thing is awesome. I got loops in the loop player, i made beats on the Drum contraption and made a pretty cool arrangement using the mute function in the automation. What was buggin me out was i had to mute a loop a bar early for it to take effect on the bar i wanted the loop to be muted...... i dunno why. But anyways, im a Reaper user and somewhere i read that AM could be used as a vst host and was wondering could i copy effects from Reaper into AM.?

I'm not sure what plugin format Reaper uses, but you could try just setting AM to point to the same plugin folder as Reaper. Just go to the AudioMulch Settings/Preference, select the Vst page and choose the folder.

Hi Aaron,

The loop players in AM work exactly like the default triggering mode of Ableton live. That is, if you mute/mute a loop halfway in a measure, it will only get muted/unmuted at the start of the next measure. Very practical if you wanna DJ. Better use the file players to automate any phrase. (it's instantaneous)

Keep also in mind that any file players or loop players can have many different presets. HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA a new mystery to figure out.

what do you mean by file player...i.e. Reaper?

There are some AM contraptions called file player (to play back wav, aiff). You can automate the playback anywhere in the timeline. Look them up.

Just like the loop player, each presets on the contraption can be a different wav file for instance and just automate the preset on the time line also.

Hey Aaron,

Glad to be of a certain help!

Musically it's quite varied. I'm basically a drummer but I play also keys and a bit of trumpet. I tend to do a lot of drones in AM, I think it really excels in that field but I also play instruments through it live building layers of sound.

A mix of funk, jazz, dnb, african rhythms, beatboxing ect with an electronic vibe thrown in. I'm not really bound to anything really musically. Audiomulch and Ableton live are pretty much the only software I'm into right now. They really excel for live performance.

I'm also using a bunch of plugins also like reaktor, Zebra, Cronox, mobius vst, shortcircuit, atlantis. Mda plugins (old but combining them together in audiomulch doesn't really have a limit). Plenty of freebies around to make a lot of noize.

Yeah, man. Reading the manual is a must.

Musically, I'm doing ambient/trip-hoppy sort of stuff. Nice drone things with the 'BubbleBlower' and metasurface. I'm working towards creating all of my sounds (or processing) off-line in AM2, and then importing the samples into Ableton Live for performance (samples played like keys on a piano).
