I'm currently demoing AM 2.0.
So far I'm really impressed, but before I spend yet more money for the nth piece of software I really need to be able to do the following:
a) get audio out of my Logic DAW (Mac OSX 10.8.3) into AM for more manglefulness. I've tried all kinds of soundflower tweaks, but it still isn't happening :-(
b) manage to get my Native Instruments Reaktor 5 contraption to reakt to the midi notes that I am generating from my monome - MAX/MSP setup.
In this case so far I've only been able to play back recorded audio material I had generated externally (and/or internally in AM), and I've only managed to launch one of NI's synths which can just make some noise without any external prodding (the so called metaphysical synth).
But I can't get any live audio into AM, nor can I play vst/au synths directly *in* AM, which is a screaming shame, given the potential of this piece of software.
So Mr. Bencina - do you think you can help me out in my quest?
Cheers from Switzerland
Paul
On windows here but you should be able to play plugins directly in AM. I do it here on windows and it's the same on mac Osx. For routing audio and midi, have you checked this? http://www.jackosx.com/
Ross is probably busy but he will get back to you (he's very helpful). Just check in regularly.

Hi there and thank you for the pointers.
I have heard of jackOSX and I guess I'll have to try it. Didn't do it so far because I am trying to avoid conflicts between various kinds of similar apps - midipipe, soundflower, IACbus, etc.
But guess that is the next logical step....

@paradiddle - thank you for the Jack OSX pointer!
In this precise instant I am listening to iTunes streamed to Logic and from there into Audiomulch where I am joyfully mangling The Black Keys :-)
Next step: buy Audiomulch.
I am a happy man....

Great! I'm glad this worked out for you!
