Hi! I wonder if there is any way to have etc a 44100 hz input and pass it through "somewhere" to make it etc 22100hz or 48000hz or 8000hz or whatever anyone wants.
There's digigrunge in AM but you can't upsample. There's a bunch of free vsts on the net that do that. Look for bitcrushers. They usually have a sample rate decimator and bit reduction in the same plugins.
If you want to sample rate convert a file from one sample rate to another, AudioMulch is not the tool for the job.
You can run AudioMulch at different output sample rates (select this in the Audio General page of the settings) but this is dependent on your audio interface supporting the selected sample rate.
Its a convert, but in real time. Etc an audio program outputs to audiomulch (44100hz), and audiomulch is taking and output at soundcard at lower hz, etc 22100hz.
If I understand you correctly, the answer is no. The real-time input and output sample rates of AudioMulch must be the same. I.e. there is only one sample rate. You can set the sample rate in the Settings on the Audio General page.
AudioMulch can play back sound files recorded at different sample rates, but I don't think that's what you are asking.

I'm not really sure what the question is.

Does that help?
